In times of war, Ukrainian business shows amazing adaptability. In the first 10 months of 2025, entrepreneurs generated more than UAH 1 trillion in tax revenues. This is 23.5% more than last year.

Two sectors of the economy are leading in filling the consolidated budget. Manufacturing and trade accounted for a third of all revenues over these ten months. But in the mining sector, which was heavily affected by Russian attacks, the dynamics are negative.

In a conversation with LIGA.net , Acting Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Lesia Karnaukh spoke about the inclusion of a controlling function, automatic debt collection, and what de-shadowing mechanisms the agency intends to use in the fight against tax evaders.
