There may be traffic delays at some checkpoints on the border with Poland. They are related to the testing of a new biometric control system by Polish border guards. This was reported to by State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The new biometric control system provides for face reading and fingerprinting both when entering and leaving Ukraine.

"Due to additional procedures, the registration of citizens may take a little longer," the SBGS explained.

In addition, repairs are underway at the Shehyne checkpoint on the Ukrainian side. This temporarily reduces the throughput for both cars and trucks.

According to the border guards, the longest queue is at Shehyni (150 cars). There are also delays at Krakivets and Nyzhankovychi checkpoints, while Smilnytsia, Uhryniv, Hrushev, and Rava-Ruska are operating without delays.
