A number of construction companies received millions of dollars in fines from the AMCU for collusion in tenders

The Antimonopoly Committee has fined a number of companies a total of more than UAH 24 million for anticompetitive concerted actions that distorted the results of the auction. The decision was made at a meeting of the Temporary Administrative Board (TAB), reports AMCU.
Yug Stroy Company LLC and ASO Construction Company LLC received the largest fines.
The TAB found that during the tenders for road repairs in Odesa Oblast, which were held in 2021 by the Vyzyr Village Council and the Capital Construction Department of the Yuzhne City Council, the companies acted in concert to avoid competition. For this, they were fined almost UAH 15 million.
Another UAH 1.13 million is to be paid by Hanber Trade LLC and Sayland LLC. The panel found that they had colluded during the auction for the sale of Kimet-Plus LLC's property complex, the Crystal cinema in Yunist Park in Kyiv.
In addition, according to TAK, Hospodar-2 LLC and First Ukrainian Construction LLC coordinated their actions when bidding for the repair of the surgical building of the hospital in Voznesensk. They were fined UAH 3.75 million for this.
Stroy-Elite LLC and Olimp Bud Development LLC were also fined UAH 2.7 million for collusion in six tenders for the overhaul of buildings in Odesa worth more than UAH 169 million.
Another UAH 2 million will be paid by Eurotransstroy, ABC Construction LLC and M-Build Plus LLC. According to TAB, they coordinated their bids during the bidding process, eliminating competition among themselves.
The AMCU reminded that, according to the law, companies that have been held liable for distorting tender results over the past three years cannot participate in public procurement.

- On August 14, the Antimonopoly Committee recognized Gledfarm and Ilan Pharm as violators of the law on protection against unfair competition.
