A platform for monitoring the quality of drinking water will be created in Ukraine

Ukraine plans to create an information and analytical platform for monitoring the quality of drinking water. It will be developed jointly with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and experts from the Recovery and Reform Support Team (RST). About reported Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.
The information platform will become a digital tool that will allow for comprehensive state monitoring in the water supply sector – with a unified approach to data collection, processing, analysis and visualization across the country.
It will cover indicators of drinking water quality, reliability and availability of water supply and sewerage services, as well as an audit of the technical condition of infrastructure facilities.
The main features of the future platform include:
→ automated collection and processing of data from authorities, service providers, and laboratories;
→ integration with other state registers and information systems;
→ identification of possible emergencies and prompt response to them;
→ analytics and reporting for governing bodies; ensuring data transparency and accountability.
During the inaugural meeting, the parties defined the technical requirements for the project, discussed the division of responsibilities and the need to create a roadmap for the phased launch of the platform at the national level.
The introduction of the digital platform is expected to contribute to more efficient water management, strengthen consumer protection, increase transparency in the industry, and attract investment.
