A sports and poker club was found in the Trade Union Building on Maidan. ARMA initiates an inspection

The Asset Management and Tracing Agency has sent an appeal to law enforcement agencies due to information about the location of a gambling establishment in the Trade Union Building on Independence Square in Kyiv. This was reported by ARMA head Olena Duma.

According to ARMA, the Pokerbet sports and poker club has been renting 1,032 square meters in the Trade Union Building since 2019. The rental cost was initially $22,000 per month.

During the meeting with ARMA, a representative of the FPU explained that the lease agreement was approved by the Presidium of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine. At the same time, he emphasized that this is about the operation of a sports and poker club, not a casino, as the Duma noted.

During a conversation with a representative of the FPU, ARMA also discovered that the Federation of Trade Unions had concluded dozens of other lease agreements, some of which "have not yet been transferred to ARMA."

According to the Duma, some of the premises in the Trade Union Building were rented to MPs and businessmen for a symbolic fee of one hryvnia.

"This is a disrespect for memory, for the values for which blood was shed. The Trade Union House should be a symbol of freedom and independence, not a profitable asset for the shadow gambling business," the Duma noted.
