An unknown chemical has entered the gas supply system in Okhtyrka district of Sumy region

Some consumers in the city of Okhtyrka and Okhtyrka district were temporarily left without gas. About this said press service of the Sumy branch of Gazmerezha.

The cause was the ingress of an unknown chemical into the gas supply system during scheduled work by employees of the Okhtyrkanaftogaz Oil Production Division.

Residents are advised:

  • shut off the gas supply by turning the valve handle to the position that completely shuts off the gas;
  • contact the emergency gas service by calling 104.

Currently, specialists are working to eliminate the consequences and restore stable gas supply.

Local authorities and gas companies are asking residents to stay calm and follow instructions.

  • Due to the Russian attack on the night of October 10, in Sumy, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Kyiv regions, the following emergency shutdowns and as of 20:30 on Friday in Kyiv fully restored water supply after the attack, but not everyone has been restored to electricity.
