China accounted for 92% of new electric vehicle imports to Ukraine in 2025

From January to August 2025, 61,700 passenger electric vehicles (BEVs) were imported to Ukraine, which is 52% more than in the same period last year. About reports Ukravtoprom, citing data from the State Statistics Service.

The total customs value of imported cars amounted to over $1.27 billion.

Of this number, 14,100 cars were new (+26%) and 47,600 were used (+62%). New electric cars are valued at $363.5 million, and used cars at $906.3 million.

Ukraine received the largest number of new electric cars (92%) from China, followed by 3% from Japan and 2% from Germany.

The US is the leader among used cars, with 40% of deliveries. South Korea is in second place (16%), and Germany is third (15%).
