China accounted for 92% of new electric vehicle imports to Ukraine in 2025
Ukraine has imported almost $1.3 billion worth of electric cars since the beginning of 2025

From January to August 2025, 61,700 passenger electric vehicles (BEVs) were imported to Ukraine, which is 52% more than in the same period last year. About reports Ukravtoprom, citing data from the State Statistics Service.
The total customs value of imported cars amounted to over $1.27 billion.
Of this number, 14,100 cars were new (+26%) and 47,600 were used (+62%). New electric cars are valued at $363.5 million, and used cars at $906.3 million.
Ukraine received the largest number of new electric cars (92%) from China, followed by 3% from Japan and 2% from Germany.
The US is the leader among used cars, with 40% of deliveries. South Korea is in second place (16%), and Germany is third (15%).
- Verkhovna Rada wants to extend tax exemptions for the import of electric cars for one year. The amendment was supported by 248 MPs during the first reading of the draft state budget.
