On October 22, Kyiv's Solomyansky District Court extended the pre-trial restraint in the form of detention for Vyacheslav Boguslayev , the former president of Motor Sich, who is suspected of working for Russia. At the same time, as reported on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office, he was given the opportunity to be released if he posts bail in the amount of UAH 908.4 million.

The publication Censor.NET writes that 86-year-old Bohuslaev participated in the court session remotely because he was in the hospital.

The former president of Motor Sich has been in custody since 2022. He was arrested on suspicion of collaboration and aiding the aggressor state. Later, he was also charged with participation in a terrorist organization and obstructing the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He is accused of intending to transfer 128 engines manufactured by Motor Sich JSC to representatives of the aggressor state with the mediation of a foreign legal entity for more than $62 million. Of these, seven were delivered to illegal armed or paramilitary groups created in the temporarily occupied territory for more than $3.4 million.

In March 2025, a former Motor Sich executive who was put on trial in 2023 along with the company's former president, Viacheslav Bohuslaiev, pleaded guilty and received a suspended sentence. During the trial, he admitted that Motor Sich supplied spare parts to Russia in violation of the ban and that Bohuslaiev knew about it.

  • In November 2022, Bohuslaiev's key asset, Motor Sich plant, came under the control of the Ministry of Defense along with four other strategic enterprises of Ukraine: Ukrtatnafta, AvtoKrAZ, Ukrnafta, and Zaporozhtransformator.
  • In November 2023, Motor Sich agreed with ARMA to manage another Boguslaev asset, Vinnytsia Aircraft Plant.
