A branch of the state-owned enterprise Document has started operating in Chisinau, the State Migration Service of Ukraine reported on Facebook.

"The decision aims to provide passport services to more than 300,000 Ukrainian citizens temporarily residing in Moldova," the statement said.

Starting October 27, specially equipped white minibuses bearing the "Passport Service" logo will begin accepting document applications in test mode.

Ukrainian citizens in Chisinau can apply for ID cards or foreign passports (including replacements for lost or stolen ones), renew ID cards or passports due to expiration, changes in personal data, or damage, and exchange 1994-issued passports for modern ID cards.

Appointments must be made in advance through the online queue system on the official website. The mobile service units will operate in Chisinau at 8 Bulevardul Ștefan cel Mare și Sfînt, from 9:00 to 18:00.
