More than 60% of consumers have already been connected to heating systems in Ukraine – State Energy Supervision

In Ukraine, the following is ongoing connection to heating systems social facilities and residential buildings. Currently, more than 62% of consumers have been supplied with heat. About reported anatoliy Zamulko, acting head of the State Energy Supervision Service, on the air of the United News telethon.
According to him, this year's preparation for the heating season was one of the most difficult due to the consequences of Russian shelling of energy infrastructure.
At the same time, most regions completed repairs and testing of heating networks on time.
During the inspections, inspectors of the State Agency for Energy Supervision found about 3,500 deficiencies in the operation of energy facilities, most of which have already been eliminated.
Special attention was paid to the readiness of heat supply companies for possible power outages. Thanks to the help of international partners and donors, heat generation facilities received generators, and communities created fuel reserves to maintain the system in the event of prolonged power outages.
"We can state that almost all heat supply facilities are equipped with backup power sources. This gives some hope that even in the event of global restrictions, the system will be able to withstand the load."Zamulko noted.
- On October 6, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine will have to increase gas imports due to Russian shelling.
- On October 10, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said that the city will not be able to start the heating season in October due to the lack of sufficient gas.
- On October 21, it was reported that Ukrenergo hopes to launch heating within ten days.
