NABU raids home of Zelensky ally Timur Mindich

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has raided the home of longtime ally of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Kvartal 95 co-owner Timur Mindich, journalist Mykhailo Tkach of Ukrayinska Pravda reported on Monday. A law enforcement source also confirmed to LIGA.net that Mindich’s residence had been searched.
Investigative actions began on Monday morning in Kyiv.
According to reports, Mindich left Ukraine shortly before the searches began.
In July, Ukrayinska Pravda reported — citing a senior source in anti-corruption agencies — that NABU was preparing to serve Mindich with a notice of suspicion.
Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak, in turn, wrote that searches were also being conducted at the home of Minister of Justice and former Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.
Anti-corruption bodies have confirmed, without naming individuals, that they are conducting a large-scale operation to expose corruption in the energy sector.
"Fifteen months of work and 1,000 hours of audio recordings. The activities of a high-level criminal organization have been documented. Its members built a large-scale corruption scheme to exert influence over strategic state-owned enterprises, including Energoatom, Ukraine’s state nuclear energy company," the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) said in a statement.

- Mindich is best known as a co-owner of the Kvartal 95 production studio. He is also active in the restaurant and film industries.
- The businessman is considered a close friend of President Zelenskyy. In early 2021, media reports said Zelenskyy even celebrated his birthday at Mindich’s apartment.
- In 2019, businessman Ihor Kolomoisky said Mindich was his business partner "in some projects, not particularly important," that Mindich had once dated his daughter, and that it was Mindich who introduced him to Zelenskyy.
- Mindich supported Zelenskyy during the 2019 presidential campaign, and during the 2020 pandemic, journalists recorded him making unofficial visits to the Presidential Office, which he explained as "charitable."
- In 2025, media reports suggested that Mindich may have ties to Fire Point, a company that has become an important supplier of drones and missiles to Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
