NovaSklo has engaged IFC in the construction of a float glass plant

Ukrainian company NovaSklo has signed a cooperation agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). A member of the World Bank Group will help the Ukrainian manufacturer attract long-term financing and implement international standards for the construction of the first float glass plant in Ukraine. This was reported by the investment company EFI Group, which includes NovaSklo.
The agreement provides for advisory support from IFC in partnership with Japan. International experts will help NovaSklo conduct a feasibility study, assess risks, and implement the best global practices for sustainable development. The main goal of the cooperation is to attract long-term financing for the project's implementation.
The total investment in the construction of the plant in the Kyiv region is estimated at approximately 250 million euros.
Float glass is a flat sheet glass used for manufacturing windows, mirrors, automotive glass, and solar panels.
The new plant will create over 300 jobs and provide orders for local suppliers, logistics companies, and related industries. The production facility will implement advanced technologies for energy-efficient and environmentally friendly glass manufacturing in accordance with IFC's Sustainability Framework.
