Nvidia and Uber plan to create the world's largest network of robotaxis with 100,000 cars

Nvidia has announced a partnership with Uber to create the world's largest network of robotaxis and autonomous trucks. About said nvidia press service.
The project is based on the new Nvidia Drive AGX Hyperion 10 artificial intelligence platform, which allows any car to become a robotaxi of the 4th level of autonomy.
Uber plans to launch a large-scale deployment of autonomous vehicles in 2027. The company wants to create a global taxi fleet of 100,000 self-driving cars that will work alongside traditional drivers in a shared transportation network.
All of this will be supported by a shared data factory based on Nvidia Cosmos, a system that processes and analyzes information to train autonomous machines.
Stellantis, Lucid, and Mercedes-Benz have joined the ecosystem, creating models compatible with the Nvidia platform. At the same time, Aurora, Volvo Autonomous Solutions, and Waabi are developing autonomous trucks based on the same technology.
Avride, May Mobility, Momenta, Nuro, Pony.ai, Wayve, and WeRide are developing autonomous driving software. Stellantis is also working with Foxconn to integrate systems and sensors.
Nvidia is also launching the Halos Certified program, the industry's first artificial intelligence physical security certification system for autonomous cars and robots. Bosch, AUMOVIO, Nuro, and Wayve have joined the program.
- September 8 it became known that the Uber robot taxi will be launched in Europe next year.
- On October 17, it was reported that Pony AI and Stellantis agreed to jointly develop unmanned taxis for the European market.
