Reuters: US, UK to sign deals in three areas worth more than $10 billion

This week, the United States and the United Kingdom plan to announce the signing of economic agreements worth more than $10 billion. About this writes Reuters, citing senior Trump administration officials.

The parties are expected to agree on cooperation in three key areas:

  • partnership in science and technology to strengthen the IT sector of both countries;
  • joint projects in the field of civil nuclear energy;
  • expanding cooperation in the field of defense technologies.

According to the agency's sources, during the visit Donald Trump several American tech business leaders will also be traveling to the UK. The US President and First Lady will arrive in the UK on Tuesday evening, September 16.

This is the second state banquet in honor of Trump in the UK. The first was held in 2019 during his first term in office.
