Shmyhal: 25 foreign defense companies have already set up production in Ukraine

In Ukraine, 25 foreign companies, including the giants of global defense production, are already at different stages of localizing their production. About reported defense minister Denis Shmyhal in an interview with Politico.

According to him, each company is working in close dialogue with the government and is considering different models of cooperation.

The government offers various models of cooperation to partners, including the Danish model, Build with Ukraine/Build in Ukraine. The main goal is to meet the needs of the Ukrainian army.

To make cooperation safer and more attractive to investors, the government is creating a special regime for the development of the defense industry in Defence City.

"It provides for tax benefits, simplified customs procedures, a mechanism for relocating production to safer regions, expanding state financial support, and opportunities for exports and integration into global chains," Shmyhal emphasized.

In addition, the Defense Minister called on partners to invest in Ukraine's defense industry.

"It is in Ukraine that the latest weapons capable of influencing the battlefield are being created. That is why an investment in the Ukrainian defense industry is the best investment in the defense of the whole of Europe," Shmyhal summarized.
