The Armed Forces of Ukraine received the first 100,000 FPV drones through the DOT-Chain Defence digital system this was reported Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal.

DOT-Chain Defence is an integrated digital ecosystem that combines verified suppliers, military structures, and a procurement agency into a single platform. Its key task is to reduce delivery times from months to a few weeks, speed up settlements, and quickly scale effective solutions.

Units can now independently choose the necessary equipment from over 180 models of FPV drones from 40 manufacturers.

"This is a vivid example of how technology and the innovative approach of the Ministry of Defense are breaking down bureaucracy and strengthening our Defense Forces," the Minister of Defense wrote.

The key advantage of the new system is the speed of delivery. The average delivery time for FPV drones is seven days. The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine handles payments, contract signing, and logistics.

"Drones are the eyes and weapons of our army. We are working 24/7 to ensure there are more of them and that they reach our soldiers as quickly and efficiently as possible," Shmyhal emphasized.

  • In October, access to DOT-Chain Defence 130 brigades were received, whereas during the pilot use there were 12. An additional 1.5 billion hryvnias have been allocated for this purpose, which the General Staff will distribute among the brigades.
  • October 22 DOT-Chain Defence expanded to include the National Guard.
  • On November 7, it became known that in 2026, 70% of drone purchases are planning to conduct via the DOT Chain Defence digital platform.
