The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a package of decisions for veterans: 50% of the cost of car insurance will be compensated

The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted 11 decisions to support veterans and their families. About this said prime minister Yulia Sviridenko after a special government meeting on veterans' policy.
Additionally, the government decided to compensate 50% of the cost of car insurance for veterans and people with disabilities caused by the war.
Among the decisions made was a draft law on the foundations of state veterans' policy. It defines the statuses of veterans and their families, and guarantees them medical, social, educational, and legal support.
In addition, the draft law provides for veterans' spaces, services paid for by the state budget, and the perpetuation of the memory of the dead.
The government also supported the draft law on persons who defended the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
According to Svyrydenko, both documents may be adopted in the fall as part of the Code of Laws on Defenders of Ukraine. All existing benefits and documents remain in effect.
In addition, an adaptation program for veterans who have lost their eyesight was launched, access to rehabilitation equipment was simplified, and the right to free dental treatment was ensured for foreign military personnel fighting in the Armed Forces.
- On July 31, the Verkhovna Rada at a meeting adopted the law about veteran entrepreneurship.
