The Cabinet of Ministers raised the gas price for electricity producers

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has increased natural gas prices for companies that produce electricity at thermal power plants, combined heat and power plants, gas turbine and gas piston plants. This is reported in Resolution No. 1306 of October 10, which extends the imposition of special obligations on the gas market until March 31, 2026.

For combined heat and power plants (CHP) that produce electricity in the heat cycle, and gas turbine and gas piston plants that produce electricity and heat in a combined way, the cost of gas supplied by Naftogaz Trading increases from UAH 18,000 to UAH 21,000 per thousand cubic meters.

For thermal power plants (TPPs) and CHPs that produce electricity in the condensation cycle, as well as for gas turbine and gas piston plants that produce exclusively electricity – from UAH 14,000 to UAH 16,000 per thousand cubic meters.

The Cabinet of Ministers also introduced a new special obligation for the Gas Transmission System Operator to purchase imported natural gas.

The company is obliged to import 340 million cubic meters of gas by the end of the heating season.
