The Cabinet of Ministers simplifies the purchase of pickup trucks and write-off of property for the military

At an extraordinary meeting on Friday, August 15, the Cabinet of Ministers approved decisions that will help to quickly meet the needs of the frontline. This was reported to by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal noted that the government's decisions simplify the procedure for purchasing used vehicles for combat units, as well as reduce the time and minimize bureaucracy during the write-off of military property.
From now on, military units will be able to purchase used vehicles (pickups, ATVs, motorcycles) under a simplified procedure. The price will be determined on the basis of an expert opinion or property valuation report that establishes the estimated market value.
Property lost or worn out in combat will be written off in a simplified manner. The updated algorithm will allow commanders to independently approve single acts of write-off if the value of military property does not exceed UAH 1.7 million. The terms of write-off will also be shortened. In addition, the peculiarities of writing off drones, ammunition and their components will be regulated.
