The competition for the post of head of the State Customs Service will be delayed until spring

On October 8, the Commission for the selection of the new head of the State Customs Service held its first meeting. As reported commission member Oleh Tymkiv, they hope to complete the competition and select the head of the State Customs within six months.
"This is a process that requires proper quality at each of its stages. We are targeting a total duration of about six months, which is a reasonable timeframe given all the requirements and procedures stipulated by law," explained Tymkiv.
However, all members of the commission noted during the meeting that this deadline was indicative and could be changed "due to factors beyond the commission's control." writes Interfax-Ukraine.
"We are all aware of the political sensitivity of this issue, including the fact that the appointment of a new permanent head of the State Customs Service is one of the structural pillars of the memorandum with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
