The EU plans to allocate additional 100 million euros to Ukraine for the heating season
The EU wants to provide Ukraine with additional money for generators, shelters and cold weather equipment

The EU is working to provide Ukraine with an additional €100 million in aid for the heating season. This was reported by High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas at a press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga in Kyiv.
According to Kallas, the EU has already mobilized 800 million euros to support Ukraine this winter.
"Russia is now seeking to compensate for failures on the battlefield with terrorist attacks on civilian and Ukrainian energy infrastructure. [...] We are working on an additional 100 million euros for generators, shelters and cold weather equipment," she said .
- Russia is trying to disrupt the heating season in Ukraine. The shelling on October 3, 2025 in Naftogaz called the strongest blow to the gas production sector during the full-scale war.
- On the night of October 5, Russia launched a massive attack on infrastructure in a number of regions, in particular in Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
- Due to the intensification of Russian strikes, the Ministry of Energy has appealed for international assistance .
