UAH 1 billion and 8 million in VAT were paid to the state budget by farmers who received land plots for sublease through open online auctions under the Land Bank state project. About this said press service of Prozorro.Sale.

"UAH 1 billion of paid funds in 10 months of operation is a result that exceeded our initial expectations," said Yaroslav Yaroslavsky, CEO of the State Land Bank.

According to him, more than 160 agricultural enterprises, 86.8% of which are small and medium-sized agribusinesses, legally cultivate state land. Many of them have already begun harvesting the first crops on the plots they have received. This, Yaroslavsky emphasized, is a good confirmation of the effectiveness of transparent sublease.

Since the launch of the project on October 1, 2024, 66,442 hectares of state agricultural land in 19 regions have been put up for auction. Of these, more than 51,731 hectares have already been transferred to farmers.

In total, the State Land Bank concluded 720 agreements with the winners of the auctions.

Competition among the bidders remains consistently high, with five bidders per lot. In total, participants submitted more than 4,000 bids.

The average cost of an annual sublease of a hectare is UAH 19,500. At the same time, the starting prices for land plots increased by about 4.4 times compared to the initial prices.

The leaders in terms of the amount of VAT paid were:

Kirovograd region – UAH 235.4 million including VAT (46 agreements),
Kharkiv region – UAH 214.3 million including VAT (233 transactions),
Poltava region – UAH 105.7 million including VAT (24 agreements).

The most expensive plot was the "diamond" of the Land Bank with an area of 3969 hectares in Kirovograd region. The winner of the auction, Kodatske-Agro, entered into a sublease agreement and paid the full annual rate of UAH 78.6 million including VAT.

As a result of the bidding, the value of the land plot increased almost fivefold from the initial price to UAH 19,803 per hectare including VAT.

As of August 4, 752 land plots with a total area of more than 11,290 hectares are available for sublease in the Prozorro.Sale electronic system.

The largest plot with an area of 421 hectares is located in Mykolaiv region. Its starting price is UAH 1.2 million. The smallest lot is in Zakarpattia, with an area of 0.02 hectares and a starting price of UAH 57.94.

The largest number of plots for sublease is currently available in Kharkiv region – 307 lots.
