Vucic changes his mind: he is ready to sell ammunition to the EU even if it is transferred to Ukraine

Serbia is ready to sell ammunition to the European Union even if it is transferred to Ukraine, President of the country Aleksandar Vucic said in an interview with one of the most influential German political magazines Cicero .
"Our warehouses are full of ammunition, and we are producing even more, especially mortar shells. We produce more ammunition than France. I don't want to be seen as someone who is constantly supplying ammunition to warring parties, but Europe needs ammunition. So I suggested that our friends from the EU sign a sale and purchase agreement with us and take everything we have. It would be a phenomenal contribution we could make to European security," Vucic said .
Asked whether Serbia would allow the use of these shells in Ukraine, Vucic said that "buyers can do whatever they want with them.".
"We just need a long-term contract so that we can plan. I have always said that Serbia is a militarily neutral country. But we are absolutely ready to cooperate with European armies. We are already intensively cooperating with our European friends in the military sphere in Africa, Asia and other continents, and we are ready to increase our presence together with European forces," Vucic said .
"I am still waiting for a response," he added .
- In May 2025, Vucic said something different: that Serbia would not sell ammunition to if it suspected that it was being transferred to Ukraine.
