The largest American companies, including Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Lockheed Martin, Coinbase and Comcast, made donations to the construction of a new ballroom for the US President Donald Trump. This was reported by the White House, writes CNN.

Trump has repeatedly stated that the project is funded exclusively by private money-his own and donors-and does not require spending from the state budget.

According to the president, the construction of the ballroom, which is about 8,000 square meters (90,000 square feet), will cost about $300 million. Previously, the administration estimated the cost at $200 million.

Other sponsors include Gemini crypto exchange founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and his family, and the Adelson family.

Miriam Adelson, a well-known philanthropist and longtime supporter of the Republican Party, received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Trump in 2018.

The list of benefactors also includes: Altria Group, Booz Allen Hamilton, Caterpillar, HP, Micron Technology, NextEra Energy, Palantir Technologies, Ripple, T-Mobile, Tether America, Union Pacific Railroad, as well as several private foundations and entrepreneurs, including Steven Schwartzman, Harold Hamm, Edward and Shari Glazer, Kelly Leffler, and Jeff Sprecher.
