In June 2025, 1,500 trucks with a gross vehicle weight of more than 3.5 tons were registered in Ukraine, which is 11.2% less than in May and 45.8% less year-on-year. This was reported by Institute for Automotive Market Research.

Domestic resales accounted for the largest share in this segment – 72.6% (1055 units).

Imports of used trucks amounted to 14.5% (211 units), sales of new trucks – 3.4% (50 units), and another 9.5% (138 units) were accounted for by vehicles manufactured or re-equipped in Ukraine. The total share of new cars amounted to 12.9%.

Compared to June 2024:

  • domestic resales decreased by 52%;
  • imports of new trucks decreased by 41.9%;
  • registrations of domestically produced trucks decreased by 38.9%;
  • imports of used trucks increased by 22.7%.

In June, Ukrainians most often bought dump trucks, vans and flatbed trucks. The list of leaders includes modern models of Mercedes-Benz, MAN or DAF, as well as outdated Soviet GAZ-3307, ZIL and KamAZ trucks, which continue to be used due to lack of resources.

The most imported used truck was the Mercedes-Benz Atego. The leaders also include MAN TGL, TGS and TGX, DAF CF, Iveco Eurocargo and even some Mercedes-Benz Sprinter models.

In June, the list also included the pickup truck Tesla Cybertruck – due to its weight of more than 3.5 tons, the usual "category B" is not enough to drive it.

New trucks are dominated by models with additional equipment, such as collection vehicles, garbage trucks, hydraulic lifts, tanks, etc .

The most common brands are Reform, Intercargotruck, Everlast, and VKK Spetsmash. New trucks from Dongfeng, Sinotruk, as well as Sprinter and Crafter also occupy a part of the market.
