Sales of cars from China in Ukraine increased by 70%: the most popular models in May
1,580 passenger cars were imported to Ukraine from China in May 2025
In May 2025, Ukrainians purchased 1,580 passenger cars imported from China, which is 70% more than in the same period last year. This was reported by Ukravtoprom.
Most of these cars were new – 1,335 units, which is 92% more than last year. Another 245 cars were used, which is 5% more than last year.

The most popular models of new cars imported from China were:
- VW ID.UNYX – 254 units;
- BYD Song Plus – 216 units;
- Honda eNS1 – 188 units;
- BYD Sea Lion 07 – 61 units;
- Zeekr 7X – 55 units.
The most popular models of used cars from the PRC were:
- Zeekr 001 – 26 units;
- Buick Envision – 19 units;
- VW ID.UNYX – 18 units;
- Audi Q4 e-tron – 17 units;
- MG ZS – 15 units.
Thus, the absolute majority of passenger cars from the PRC – 85% – were electric vehicles.
- In the first quarter of 2025, 20,100 passenger electric vehicles (BEVs) were imported to Ukraine. The majority – 93% – were imported from China.
