Nova Poshta is transferring part of its office staff to branches and reducing its management staff. This information was confirmed by co-owner Volodymyr Popereshnyuk in an interview with Forbes Ukraine.

According to him, about a third of employees "do not touch the parcels," meaning they work in offices. In his opinion, this share is too high and should be 10-15%.

As part of the optimization, back-office employees are being offered to move to operational positions in branches or terminate their contracts. Out of about 7,000 office employees, 2,000 have already been transferred or resigned, and by the end of the year their number could be halved.

"We are not making layoffs, we are improving our processes. People resign on their own, but we invite everyone to work in the branches," emphasized Popereshnyuk .

According to company sources, Olena Plakhova, Director of Reputation Management at Nova Poshta Group, who joined the company in 2020, is leaving her position. Prior to that, she worked for the Continuum Group, Corum Group, and Starlight Media.

According to the source of the publication Scroll.media, the layoffs affect almost the entire team, leaving only a few people who will be responsible for external communications. People were laid off in the following departments: internal communications; external communications; international communications; social responsibility.
