Almost two-thirds of Ukrainians (64%) have never used artificial intelligence, according to a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology between February and March 2025.

Participants were asked whether they personally use AI for work or personal purposes.

12% said they had never heard of AI before, while 52% said they were aware of it but had never used it.

Only 26% reported having practical experience with AI (9% use it occasionally, and 17% use it regularly).

Another 9% have tried AI tools but have not incorporated them into their daily routines.

The results show a strong correlation between age and AI usage: the younger the respondent, the more likely they are to have used artificial intelligence. The most active users are people aged 18–29, with 54% using AI regularly.

Other key findings:

→ Men are more likely to use AI (23%) than women (13%)
→ Urban residents—especially in large cities—are more active AI users
→ Higher income levels are associated with more frequent AI use, whereas education level shows no clear correlation
→ Public opinion is mixed: 45% view AI as risky, while 39% see it as offering positive potential

The survey was conducted between February 14 and March 4, 2025. A total of 1,029 adults aged 18 and older were interviewed via telephone.
