Kyiv developer Wojciechowski sent to court after five years on the run
The National Police has completed a pre-trial investigation and submitted to court charges against developer Anatoliy Voitsekhovsky, who was extradited from Spain in March 2025. This is reported on the websites of the police and of the Office of the Prosecutor General .
The case concerns a large-scale fraud in the field of housing construction in the period 2004-2013, which caused damage to many buyers of apartments in Kyiv.
According to the investigation, the defendant launched the construction of more than 40 residential complexes in Kyiv without the necessary permits and in violation of building codes.
The police investigated dozens of criminal proceedings against the developer. He was detained twice, but he paid bail twice and eventually fled abroad.
Wojciechowski was put on the wanted list in May 2020 after he left for Poland.
In early 2025, Wojciechowski was extradited in a criminal proceeding over the construction of the Naukova residential complex on Petropavlivska Street in Kyiv. The residential complex was built on the site of a former non-residential building owned by the State Enterprise State Research and Design Institute for Innovative Technologies in Energy and Energy Saving.
The developer is charged with embezzlement (Article 191(5) of the Criminal Code) and forgery of official documents (Article 28(3), Article 366(2)). He faces seven to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Law enforcement agencies traditionally do not name the accused, but the circumstances of the case and the published photos point to Wojciechowski.
