State-owned Ukrbud privatized by Astion brothers for UAH 805 million
On October 2, the State Property Fund concluded a contract for the sale of 100% of shares in the authorized capital of the state joint-stock company Ukrbud Construction Company following an electronic auction held on June 18. This was reported by in the Prozorro.Sale system.
The winner of the auction was initially Petro Oil & Chemicals, a company owned by Georgian businessman David Bezhuashvili, which offered UAH 805 million for Ukrbud, but was disqualified on June 30 because of its ties to sanctioned persons.
After that, the right to privatize was transferred to Techno-Online LLC, which offered one hryvnia less.
The deal with the company was concluded only after Yevhen and Vasyl Astionov became beneficiaries, according to LIGA360. They each own 33% of the company, and another 34% belongs to Marina Ayab.
The buyer is obliged to preserve the company's core activities, pay off its wage and budget debts within six months and not dismiss employees, pay dividends due to the state for 2024-2025, etc .
The object of privatization consists of 88 buildings, structures and non-residential premises, as well as 17 land plots. In Kyiv, the company owns 19 properties with a total area of 27,158.9 square meters. It also has properties in Lviv, Kharkiv, Odesa and Dnipro. Some of the lots consist of several properties, which increases their integrated value .
The state-owned Ukrbud is not part of the corporation of the same name and is not affiliated with Maxym Mykytas' Ukrbud Development - the private developer only used its logo. In recent years, the company has been in a mothballed state and has hardly worked in its main areas, only leasing real estate.
- In April, the Astion brothers won an auction to privatize the Zhytomyrska na brunkakh vodka producer - Zhytomyr Distillery. They bought it for UAH 137.5 million.
