Stolitsa Group founder Molchanova granted UAH 100 million bail
On Thursday, September 11, the High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a bail of UAH 100 million on the founder of Stolitsa Group Vladyslava Molchanova.
"To impose on the suspect Vladyslava Borysivna Molchanova a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 100 million," Judge Andriy Bitsyuk announced his decision during the hearing, which was broadcast on the court's Youtube channel.
During her speech, Molchanova said she was not going to post bail.
Instead, the suspect offered the court a personal guarantee that she would not flee the country and promised to cooperate constructively with the investigation and the courts.
She also asked not to restrict her movement within Ukraine and travel abroad, citing medical needs and defense contracts.
The case against Molchanova concerns the land of the Stolychnyi agricultural market, located on the outskirts of Kyiv near the Teremky metro station.
The investigation believes that in 2021, in the process of settling a corporate conflict with former MP from the Party of Regions Yuriy Ivanyushchenko, companies associated with Molchanova gained control over 18 hectares of land that were leased for the operation of the market.
Molchanova, like the other defendants in the case, was suspected under Part 5 of Article 191 (misappropriation of property) and Part 3 of Article 209 (legalization of property) of the Criminal Code.
- Stolitsa Group is one of Kyiv's largest developers, which, according to LUN, has delivered 159 houses in 18 residential complexes since 2003, and is currently building 24 houses in four residential complexes, including the scandalous H2O (formerly Patriotika na Ozera).
