The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated 609 million for compensation for destroyed housing – Svyrydenko

The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 609 million to finance the eVidnovlenya program. The funds will allow another 9,000 Ukrainian families to repair homes damaged as a result of Russian aggression reported Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

The money will be transferred to the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development and will be used to compensate families for the restoration of their homes.

"We are consistently restoring housing destroyed by the war and expanding the capabilities of the eVidnovlenya program to ensure that aid arrives faster," Svyrydenko said.

In addition to funding, the government has simplified the procedure for obtaining compensation for housing in shared ownership. Previously, receiving assistance was blocked if one of the co-owners had left, was out of contact, or did not participate in the maintenance of the property.

Now, another co-owner will be able to claim compensation using a simplified procedure without unnecessary delays.

"This decision will allow people to start repairing damaged housing faster and return it to use, even in situations where it was impossible to obtain the consent of all co-owners," the prime minister said.

In total, over 116,000 Ukrainian families have already received compensation for the restoration of damaged housing under the eVidnovlenya program.
