America is changing its diet. How the new US food pyramid will affect Bakhmatyuk, Ivanchyk, and Poroshenko

It outlines priorities in the food industry, to which the state will direct budget support funds for the next five years. The matter is so serious that the DGA is taken into account at the Pentagon.It turns out that the Department of War (DOW), which is the largest employer in the United States, spends $1.5 billion on medical care each year, related with staff obesity. Almost 20% of US soldiers have this problem. Moreover, only two out of five (i.e., 40%) potential recruits have an acceptable weight for military service. The rest are too heavy and immobile.The symbol of the new DGA is – inverted pyramid. It lists products whose "usefulness" increases from bottom to top. The top now includes products with animal-based ingredients.with proteins and fats – meat, cheese, and even whole milk. Also, vegetables that require minimal processing – tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, green peas as a symbol of plant protein. The motto is "Eat real food, avoid ultra-processed food."The sensation was that Americans have finally rehabilitated milk. They recommend consuming three servings of dairy products daily. Cheese, in particular, is a superfood, containing protein and "healthy" fats. Even MHP, which is the most integrated into global markets, does not supply anything to the American continent.Against this backdrop, the example of Brazilian businessman Ricardo Faria, who bought the American egg company Hillandale Farms for $1.1 billion in early 2025, is exemplary. His bet on the growth of egg consumption in the US market is paying off, and the DGA is providing a tailwind.The supply of dairy products from Ukrainian companies to the US market is insignificant.
