Yuriy Kosyuk's agricultural holding MHP has commenced commercial production of liquefied biomethane (Bio-LNG) and completed its first export shipment to the European Union, the company's press service reported on May 9.

Biomethane is produced entirely from poultry manure and other agricultural waste.

The product is certified in accordance with the European ISCC EU standard and meets the RED II/III sustainability criteria.

Adomas Audickas, Deputy CEO of MHP Group, said the company views this project as a testament to its leadership in bioenergy and innovation.

"We are turning poultry manure into a climate-positive fuel that is already capable of powering trucks and ships across Europe," he said.

MHP has been investing in bioenergy infrastructure for over a decade and operates one of the largest biogas portfolios in Europe, now complemented by Bio-LNG production.
