In 2022, the top ten Ukrainian companies of the agricultural sector saw a 27-percent increase in their earnings year-on-year, with the total income of UAH 97.65 billion (USD 2.684 billion), according to Opendatabot, a consultancy.

Five of the top ten Ukrainian agricultural businesses are owned by MHP [Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt] Group of Yurii Kosiuk.

The list also includes companies from Kernel Group (Andrey Verevskiy), LNZ Group (Dmytro Kravchenko), VITAGRO (Serhii Labaziuk), and Ukrprominvest (Oleksii Poroshenko).

The Vinnytsia Poultry Farm is the top company in the group for two years in a row, its revenue having increased by almost 1.6 times, from UAH 19.4 billion to UAH 30.4 billion, compared to 2021.

Urozhai [Harvest] saw the biggest increase in revenue year-on-year, up 2.6 times, from UAH 2.24 billion to UAH 5.81 billion, thus rising from the 19th to the sixth position in the 2022 ranking.

Two other companies in the top ten, Druzhba Nova and Enselco Agro, belong to the Kernel financial and industrial group founded by Andrey Verevskiy, accounting for 12 percent of the agro-top's total earnings in 2022 despite a drop in revenues.

Instead, some companies lost ground during the first year of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine and dropped out of the top ten.

Those include APK-Invest, owned by Borys Kolesnikov, whose revenue decreased by 21 percent year-on-year, learning to the drop from the 10th to the 19th place in the ranking, and Zoria Podillia, part of the Ukrprominvest group of companies owned by Oleksii Poroshenko, which saw a 23-percent decrease in revenue and dropped from the seventh position in the ranking to the 15th.
