Businessman Andriy Verevsky's Kernel Agroholding intends to buy the IMC company (formerly Industrial Dairy Company). This is evidenced by the agenda of the AMCU meeting and Forbes Ukraine sources.

At a meeting on May 15, the AMCU will consider Kernel Holding's application to acquire control (together with Agrovalei Limited) over the agricultural holding IMC by concluding a shareholders' agreement.

If permission is granted, Kernel will be able to exert decisive influence on the results of voting and/or decision-making by the IMC's governing bodies.

IMC was founded in 2007 by Oleksandr Petrov, the former owner of the Cheese Club brand. The agricultural holding cultivates 120,000 hectares of land in Poltava, Sumy and Chernihiv regions. IMC grows wheat, corn and sunflower. In 2022, the company was among the ten largest agricultural holdings in Ukraine.

IMC's lands in Chernihiv and Sumy regions have suffered from Russian occupation and are periodically subjected to massive shelling. Despite the war, last year the company made a profit for the first time since February 2024 – $47.1 million compared to a $2.2 million loss a year earlier.

In 2024, IMC saw a change in management. Long-time CEO Alex Lissitsa became the chairman of the board of directors, and his place was taken by Chief Operating Officer Oleksandr Verzhykhovsky.

In early 2025, Verevsky's company Namsen Limited increased its stake in Kernel to 95.06%.
