President of the United States Donald Trump criticized NBC and ABC, calling them "two of the worst and most biased networks in history," adding that he supports the revocation of their licenses. He said wrote in Truth Social.

He noted that these channels give him "97% bad news," "despite his very high popularity and, in the opinion of many, one of the best eight months in the history of the presidency."

"If that is the case, they are effectively a division of the Democratic Party and should, in the opinion of many, be stripped of their FCC licenses," he wrote.

The FCC issues licenses to TV channel owners and periodically renews them.

Trump's comments came amid his legal disputes with major media companies. In July, he reached a $16 million settlement with CBS News and received $15 million from ABC in a defamation case.

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, a Republican, has already launched an investigation into Comcast's (NBC's owner) DEI programs and NBC's relationship with local broadcasters.

Earlier, in 2017, Trump also proposed to revoke NBC's license after the publication of a story about his alleged call to increase the US nuclear arsenal, which he denied.
