Estlink 1 power line connecting Estonia and Finland was disconnected due to a malfunction
On Monday, at 5:46 a.m., a failure occurred at the Estlink 1 high-voltage connection connecting Finland to Estonia, which resulted in the power line being disconnected. This was reported by the transmission system operator Fingrid, writes Yle.
The malfunction was detected at the reactor of a power substation in Espoo. According to Fingrid's head of operations, Mikko Pirosh, there are no signs of sabotage or outside interference.
The repair can take about three weeks.

According to Pirosi, the interruptions may have a certain impact on the price of electricity. Given the situation on the electricity market and in the energy production sector, the price in Finland can either go up or down.
