The National Anti-Corruption Bureau hopes that the main suspects in the case of possible corruption at Energoatom will sooner or later be brought before a Ukrainian court. This was stated by NABU Director Semen Kryvonos in an interview with Ukrayinska Pravda .

"There is a legal procedure that we will definitely go through. This is the election of a preventive measure, putting them on the international wanted list. I do not think that the situation will develop in such a way that these two co-organizers will want to stay in Israel for the rest of their lives. Perhaps they will want to visit Courchevel, as was the case with another well-known fugitive," he said.

"I am optimistic that we will manage to bring these individuals to the Ukrainian court one day," added the NABU director .

He also recalled that Ukraine recently managed to return one of the defendants in the treason case from a jurisdiction that had never extradited anyone to Ukraine before.

"Perhaps they will help us and make the same efforts to return these defendants in the same order," Krivonos said .

  • on November 13, the National Security and Defense Council imposed sanctions against two of the seven Mindich tapes defendants who were not detained – Timur Mindich and Alexander Zuckerman. Mindich was not detained because he managed to travel abroad before the announcement of suspicion.
  • The sanctions decree revealed that both Mindich and Zuckerman are Israeli citizens.
