On the night of October 3, Russia targeted Naftogaz gas production facilities in the Kharkiv and Poltava regions with 35 missiles and 60 drones. A large portion of the infrastructure was damaged, including critical facilities, Naftogaz CEO Serhiy Koretsky reported.

"It makes no military sense. This is yet another act of Russian malice, aimed solely at disrupting the heating season and depriving Ukrainians of warmth in winter," Koretsky said.

According to the company, this was the largest strike on gas production infrastructure since the start of the full-scale war.

The Air Force reported that overnight Russian forces launched 381 drones and 35 missiles, with all missiles aimed at Naftogaz facilities.

Air defenses intercepted or neutralized 320 targets: 303 drones, 12 Iskander-K missiles, and five Kh-59/69 cruise missiles.

Eighteen missiles and 78 attack UAVs struck 15 sites, while debris fell in six additional locations.
