"Significant damage". Russia strikes Odesa region’s energy and port infrastructure
On the night of November 4, the Odesa region came under two waves of massive drone attacks targeting energy and port infrastructure. The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, reported this on Telegram.
Despite the active work of air defense forces, which shot down most of the enemy drones, several strikes hit their targets, Kiper said. Civilian port and energy infrastructure were damaged, including a DTEK energy facility in the Odesa region.
"The damage is significant. Repairs will take time," DTEK said on its Telegram channel.
The strikes caused fires and damaged roads, industrial buildings, and equipment.
The power company will begin restoration work as soon as they receive clearance from the military and emergency services.
No casualties were reported at the time of writing.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, one person was killed and eight others were injured, including two children, as a result of overnight shelling.
