Trends in energy investments are changing in Ukraine, said Yevhen Myachyn, director of the department for development and support of corporate business at Oschadbank.

At the Energy Club forum "Energy System in the Name of the Consumer", Myachyn reported that in 2024, 70% of projects financed by Oschadbank were gas-piston generation, while in 2025, 50% of projects were energy storage installations, and 40% were wind generation.

"The stabilization of the energy system, changes in gas prices and the volume of its reserves have stimulated business to reorient itself towards technologies that look more interesting in the long term," Myachyn explained.

In less than six months of 2025, Oschadbank concluded loan agreements for the implementation of energy projects for a total amount of 87 million euros, which is almost twice as much as for the entire last year.

In total, from June 1, 2024 to May 25, 2025, Ukrainian banks issued loans and opened limits for the implementation of energy projects worth UAH 18.2 billion, providing over 705 MW of new capacity.

It is noted that Oschadbank's share in this volume of energy projects is 30%, and according to the results of the first four months of 2025, it is 32%.
