In a statement, Energoatom said the unit, whose repair started on 4 May, is the second such unit to have been connected to the grid after the repair.
The first 1000 MW unit was brought back online in June, twenty days earlier than expected.
Nuclear power plants in Ukraine currently generate almost half of the electricity, according to the energy ministry.
The six 6,000 MW units of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which has been occupied by Russia since last year, are not working and are shut down.
Yesterday, the Zaporizhzhia NPP had to use a single backup power line because it was disconnected from the main 750 kV high-voltage line.
Half of Ukraine’s nuclear power units are supposed to be temporarily shut down at different times in summer for repair and modernisation.
