During a drone and missile attack on the night of September 26, Russia attempted to strike three power transmission sites in Ukraine, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported during a visit to the Mykolaiv Oblast.

"The Russian terrorists did not achieve their goals – the Ukrainian energy system is operating in a balanced mode, and no power outages are planned," the prime minister wrote on his Telegram channel.

Shmyhal reported that he inspected the construction of engineering protection at energy substations in the Mykolaiv Oblast and reviewed the process of establishing a distributed generation system.

Two cogeneration units, each with a capacity of 1.5 MW, will be installed in Mykolaiv to produce electricity and heat. They will provide heating to more than 200 apartment buildings, five medical facilities, and 24 educational institutions.

Overall, Mykolaivoblteploenerho heat supply company has committed to building five distributed generation facilities based on gas piston cogeneration units with a total capacity of 5.5 MW in preparation for the upcoming heating season.
