UkrGasVydobuvannya updates record for gas production in first half of 2024

The state-owned gas producer UkrGasVydobuvannya announced another record for gas production. In the first half of the year, the company produced 6,913 million cubic meters of commercial gas. This is 8.8% more than in the same period last year.

"UkrGasVydobuvannya put 41 new wells into operation, of which 14 are high-flow wells. So, for example, the daily flow rate of one of the last wells exceeds 400,000 cubic meters. These are very good results," commented the acting CEO of the company Serhiy Lahno.

He added that in half a year, UkrGasVydobuvannya managed to drill 165,864 m of penetration, which is 9,117 m more than last year's figure for this period.

"We also have good indicators of gas production at old modernized wells," Lahno noted.

In the first six months of 2024, UkrGasVydobuvannya and the oil and natural gas extracting company Ukrnafta produced 7.3 billion cubic meters of commercial gas, which is 8% more than in the same period last year.

On February 8, 2024, UkrGasVydobuvannya updated the five-year record for daily gas production at 38.54 million cubic meters.
