The Ukrainian company Avtomagistral-Pivden signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Italian infrastructure giant Webuild. This was reported to by the press service of Avtomagistral-Pivden.

The cooperation involves the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects in Ukraine: international partners provide funding, design, technology, and the Motorway South ensures implementation.

The agreement was signed at the URC2025 Ukraine Recovery Forum in Rome, where Avtomagistralnya-Pivden was the only representative of the Ukrainian construction industry.

Avtomagistralnya-Pivden has been cooperating with Webuild since 2023, in particular in Romania. One of the Italian company's largest projects in Romania is a bridge across the Danube.

Webuild operates around the world, from Qatar to California, and in Romania covers about 10% of the infrastructure market. At the end of 2024, Webuild's order book amounted to 63 billion euros, and the number of employees was 93,000.

A separate memorandum was signed with Technital, an Italian engineering company specializing in global infrastructure design.

"The signing of the memorandums is a testament to the confidence in Avtomagistral-Pivden on the part of Ukraine's international partners and recognition of the company's European level of performance," said Mykola Tymofeyev, CEO of the company .

  • Avtomagistralya-Pivden has extensive experience in Ukraine: construction of the runway at Odesa International Airport, the H-31 highway between Kyiv and Dnipro, the reservoir of the largest European Dniester PSPP, Kryvyi Rih's main water supply system, 600-meter bridge over the Desna on the Kyiv-Chernihiv highway, etc.
  • In May 2025, Avtomagistral-Pivden received a €460 million contract in Romania for the construction of a part of the Arad-Oradea highway. Previously, the Ukrainian company has completed several smaller projects in Moldova and Romania (road repairs in Transylvania and reconstruction of Satu Mare Airport).
