Leading low-cost airlines in Europe are ready to promptly launch flights to Ukraine in the event of a peace agreement, and not only Wizz Air і Ryanair who reported this earlier, but also EasyJet, although it has not previously flown to Ukrainian airports, writes Financial Times.

CEO Kenton Jarvis called the country potentially "Europe's biggest construction project," adding that people "will want to come home when it's safe."

"Operationally, air traffic control can be launched quite quickly, it all depends on the condition of the airports and runways, as well as on ensuring that the terminals operate in accordance with the highest safety standards," he said.

Unlike Wizz and Ryanair, EasyJet has no plans to base its aircraft in Ukraine in the short term.

EasyJet is a British low-cost airline headquartered at Luton Airport in London. The company operates domestic and international scheduled flights on more than 927 routes to more than 34 countries, including through its subsidiaries EasyJet UK, EasyJet Switzerland and EasyJet Europe. Founded in 1995, EasyJet has grown to become one of Europe's largest low-cost carriers. The company has a large fleet of more than 300 aircraft and a wide network of bases, with London Gatwick being the largest.
