Ukrzaliznytsia and Kyiv Aviation Institute have agreed to launch an educational program for railway workers. This is stipulated in the memorandum of partnership signed by the parties on November 5, said uZ press service.

In addition to the development of joint educational programs, the agreement provides for practical training of students at Ukrzaliznytsia's facilities and the exchange of experience between specialists of both institutions.

At the initial stage, the university will open a master's program for specialists in transport logistics and transportation management.

"This program is not only for future specialists, but also for those who want to get a second degree and develop in the industry, it will be a promising opportunity for them," said the Chairman of the Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia Oleksandr Pertsovsky.

"...it is very important for us to develop a new rail transport program with the market leader, Ukrzaliznytsia. We hope to see railroaders among the entrants next year," added the President of KAI Ksenia Semenova.

The master's program will be open to graduates of higher education institutions with a bachelor's degree (or higher) in technical, transport, economic, management, information or other related fields.

This is the first time in Ukraine that railway education can be obtained at an institution that has not previously trained specialists in this field, Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized.
