Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi seaport has signed a memorandum with Batumi International Container Terminals LLC (BICT), which operates container and ferry terminals in the port of Batumi (Georgia). About said Oksana Kiktenko, CEO of the Belgorod-Dniester Port.

This is the second such document aimed at developing the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TCIR), also known as the Middle Corridor.

The memorandum envisages the creation of a new ferry route connecting Ukrainian and Georgian ports.

It is also planned to build a road-rail ferry complex in the port of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi to meet the needs of the Middle Corridor cargo flows.

The purpose of the memorandum is to attract additional cargo volumes through the Middle Corridor.

"The port of Belgorod-Dniester plans to become the largest TTMM hub on the European side of the route," Kiktenko said.
