Ukrainians purchased almost 29,300 passenger cars from China in 2025. About this reports Ukravtoprom. Chinese cars occupied 29.5% of the new passenger car market, with the absolute majority (91%) being electric vehicles.

24,000 new cars were imported, which is 118% more than in 2024. Almost 5,300 used cars were registered – an increase of 61%. Nine out of ten passenger cars from the PRC had an electric engine.

In the new car segment, the undisputed leader was the VOLKSWAGEN ID.Unyx – 3,160 registered units. The second place was taken by the BYD Song Plus with a result of 2,995 cars, and the third place was taken by the BYD Leopard 3 with 1,623 registrations.

The fourth position was taken by the ZEEKR 7X – 1,558 units, and the fifth place was taken by the BYD Sea Lion 07 with 1,342 cars.

Among used cars, the picture is somewhat different. In first place is ZEEKR 001 – 571 registered cars.

The second place went to POLESTAR 2 – 297 units. The third position was taken by ZEEKR 7X with 273 registrations, the fourth – AUDI Q4 with 260 cars, the fifth place went to the American TESLA Model 3 – 242 cars.

While among new passenger cars, Chinese cars cover almost a third of the market (29.5%), their share in used cars registered for the first time in Ukraine is only 1.9%.
